Tearful Vows in the Mountains || Caileigh + Kyle

With all the crazy going on right now, its really turned the world - including the wedding world - upside down. Couples are having to cancel and postpone their dream weddings (understandably) and vendors are worried about having enough work or even the right availability to be able to accommodate the changes. The uncertainty is scary.

On a smaller scale, this does remind us of a killer wedding last summer. Caileigh and Kyle had the most perfect wedding planned in the most perfect place. Their favourite place. ALL of their friends and family were travelling to attend and they were so excited. WE were so excited! But few months before their day the most unexpected (and completely unnecessary) thing happened. Someone cut down the Sea To Sky Gondola. This affected a ton of weddings - some couples had only hours to find a solution, others a few months. Many tried to find alternate venues, others postponed, others cancelled altogether.

While devastated at the loss of their perfect venue, C+K knew their love was worth celebrating regardless. So they VERY quickly planned their day again. Same date. Different locations. And HOLY CRAP the ceremony venue they chose (not even a venue - a gorgeous air bnb with a stunning view that the bride convinced the owners to let her use) is one of my favourites of all time.

They still really wanted those scenic views from the top of the mountains though so they booked a helicopter in Whistler for their portrait session. An hour before leaving the helicopter cancelled. Because fog. Ok. It’s ok. We’ll GET you those views! We’ll just go up the mountain like a couple of tourists with massive cameras and wedding attire! So we did! And we nailed it. The shots were bomb. You’ll see.

All this to say - if your wedding has been screwed up due to Covid, the celebration of your love doesn’t have to be. The vendors in this industry are amazing and truly want you to have your dream. We will all help you with suggestions, be as flexible as we possibly can with our availability, and will get. you. those. shots. and capture those special moments regardless of what else life throws at you.

Go ahead and see what your Plan B can look like! You would never know this wasn’t the wedding Caileigh and Kyle planned from the start. It’s so good. Too good. I love these two.

Love rules. Covid drools.

Emotional Sea To Sky Wedding || Lyndsie + Jordan

I don’t know if you know this about me, but Pinterest is a massive problem for me. Can’t stop won’t stop. Its constant. Most of my boards are hidden cause i’m embarrassed 1st at how MUCH I pin, 2nd the stuff I’m pinning - I don’t want someone to see a shot and be like “she thinks THAT is beautiful?” when REALLY I PINNED IT BECAUSE I LIKED THE FURNITURE ARRANGEMENT AND NOT THE STYLE I SWEAR! and 3rd the amount of fall and christmas crap I pin in the spring and summer. Its embarrassing.

That being said, I cannot tell you HOW HONOURED/ AMPED/ PUMPED ON LIFE I AM that Lyndsie found us BECAUSE OF PINTEREST!!! Being that we make films as opposed to take photos I never thought I’d see the day but thanks to an amazeballs wedding shot by Shari and Mike at Sea to Sky, our film was seen by Lyndsie + Jordan and they wanted us to shoot theirs as well! (With Shari and Mike so double bonus as we heart those kids BIG time)

Now based on this one experience of one bride finding us via Pinterest I can’t boldly and accurately proclaim that all brides who find their videographers on Pinterest will have a Pinterest worthy wedding and will be stunning and fun and amazing and perfect.

So watch this film and watch these two beautiful Americans get married at the top of a mountain in Canada.

High fives to this rad crew!

Emotional Vancouver Island Wedding - Kristina + Caleb

Kristina and Caleb are not afraid. They are not afraid to be vulnerable. Not afraid to speak out loud all the feelings they have in their actual beating hearts. Not afraid for people to see inside of them. And they not afraid of (or even aware of) the camera.

You guys. This. Is. everything.

After watching the final edit I said to Mac, “I feel like this is the most intimate film we’ve ever made! I feel like I know these two so well and like I’ve been with them their entire relationship. I feel their feels and I’m so invested!” I’ve personally watched it too many times just in my free time. I love it. I love them.

So prepare yourself to feel. And also prepare your eyeballs because these two are 10/10 mega babes.

High fives to this amazing team!
